The housekeeping report lists, day by day, the units that need work: who leaves, who arrives, and which cleaning task is linked. Cleaners use it to plan a day or a week. Managers use it to check that every turnover has a task and someone assigned to it.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Cleaning staff (Service staff) can open this report. Account owner, Manager and Property manager can open it too.
- You see the properties you have been given access to.
Open the report
Section titled “Open the report”Cleaning staff:
- Open your day view in Tasks.
- Select Housekeeping report under your name.
Managers can also open it from Reports, in the Library tab, where it is called Housekeeping. Use the report library explains the filters, columns and downloads.
What each row shows
Section titled “What each row shows”Each day is a heading, and under it every unit that needs work that day. A unit appears when it has one of these:
- Departure: a guest leaves and no one arrives the same day.
- Arrival: someone arrives and no one left that day.
- Turnover: a guest leaves and another arrives the same day.
- Stay-through: a guest stays in the unit. These rows appear only when you tick Include stay-throughs.
Owner stays are included. They arrive and depart like bookings, so a unit being left or prepared for its owner shows up in the same way. Where a guest name would be, an owner stay reads Owner stay.
The columns are:
- Property and Unit.
- Activity: one of the four kinds above.
- Departing guest and Guests out: who leaves, and how many people.
- Arriving guest and Guests in: who arrives, and how many people.
- Est. arrival: the arrival time the guest gave, when there is one.
- Cleaning task, Task status and Assigned to: the linked cleaning task, whether it is Open or Done, and who it is assigned to.
How the cleaning task is linked
Section titled “How the cleaning task is linked”The report links a task to a unit and a day when the task is open or done, is scheduled on that day in the property’s own time, and belongs to that unit, directly or through its booking. When a unit has several tasks that day, the report picks the housekeeping task first, then the oldest. A unit with no task shows No task.
Choose the dates
Section titled “Choose the dates”Opened from your day view, the report starts on This month; opened from the Library, it keeps the Reports page’s dates. The report covers at most 366 days. Managers can also filter by booking status. The cleaner view offers the dates and the Include stay-throughs option, without a status filter.
What cleaning staff do not see
Section titled “What cleaning staff do not see”Cleaning staff see no guest names and no money in this report. The guest name columns are removed for anyone without permission to view guest details, and the cleaner role does not have it. The report has no money columns at all. The guest counts, arrival time and cleaning task columns are still shown.
